Rabbi Mendy & Brocha Lent & Family at a Purim Celebration

Our Mission

We moved to Nottingham in September 2008 to establish a branch of Chabad on Campus servicing the students of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent Universities.

Together with our children Chana (12), Sara (11), Yehuda (9), Mussya (5) & Meir (2)  we provide a vibrant hub of Jewish student life; Fri night dinners and  Shabbat lunches, study groups or one on one learning, social evenings to a listening ear. Notts Chabad is here to enhance the Jewish campus experience.

Mendy was born and raised in Manchester, UK and studied in the UK, Canada, USA and Australia. He spent much of his free time organising and at assisting at camps, student campus events, and visiting outlying Jewish communities reaching out to remote Jews.

Brocha was born in Brooklyn, NY and has special feelings for Nottingham as her father was born here. She has tremendous experience in event organisation and was previously employed as Events Co-ordinator for Chabad of South Broward, Florida. She brings along her great culinary expertise, much to the delight of students...

Our mission is guided by the vision of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, a revolutionary leader who changed the face of Judaism post-holocaust. His motto was "No Jew should be left behind".

Warm, non-judgemental and inviting, we offer a 'home away from home', a place where you can join us for meals, experience shabbat, find a listening ear, shmooze, study or play.

We welcome Jews of all affiliations, and all levels of observance, but we ask that you your leave coats and labels at the door!

Chabad has helped thousands of people over the past decade. Their open minds and hearts and true dedication are inspiring.
